A lawyer representing former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that the country's Supreme Court granted bail to Khan and one of his aides today, Friday, in a case related to the disclosure of state secrets. Lawyer Salman Safdar noted that it is still unclear whether Khan will be released from prison, as there are several arrest warrants against him in other cases. Khan, a former cricket star, has been imprisoned since August after being convicted on corruption charges in a separate case. Khan has pleaded not guilty to the charges of disclosing state secrets, which pertain to a confidential message sent by the Pakistani ambassador in Washington to Islamabad last year, and Khan was accused of leaking it.
