A statement was issued today, Wednesday, by the Media Affairs Office that reads: "The General Directorate of General Security reminds all Arab and foreign nationals who are in violation of their residency period (work, visit, tourism, temporary residence entry visa, etc.) that they must rectify their status before leaving the country at the regional centers corresponding to their place of residence, or directly through the Settlement Division at Rafic Hariri International Airport."
It added: "This Directorate also announces the commencement of exit settlements for violators from countries whose citizens are entitled to obtain automatic entry visas through the Settlement Division at the Airport Security Directorate, immediately upon the expiration of the time limit indicated on their entry stamp, starting from 15/10/2023. Therefore, air travelers seeking to rectify their status directly at the airport must be present at least four hours before their departure time to complete the settlement and pay the required fees at the Settlement Division located in the external arrivals hall before entering the passenger area."
