The General Directorate for Drug Affairs in Iraq announced the arrest of three drug dealers with international connections in Dhi Qar province. According to a statement from the directorate, "In accordance with the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and under the personal and direct supervision of the Minister of Interior, the General Directorate for Drug Affairs, in coordination with the Drug Enforcement Directorate of the Kurdistan Region, carried out an intelligence operation based on accurate confidential information using innovative tactics. This operation resulted in the arrest of three drug dealers who were caught in possession of 100 kilograms of captagon pills in Dhi Qar province." The statement further added, "The General Directorate for Drug Affairs, including its leadership, officers, and staff, pledges to the Iraqi people to confront, with strength, the dealers of these dangerous toxins and anyone associated with them."
