The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: In the context of combating espionage operations employed by the Israeli enemy, and through monitoring electronic applications, pages, and accounts online, the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces suspected an account on the "Facebook" application under the name "Amine Amine." The operator of this account - whose identity remains unknown due to a strong protection system - is posting advertisements for job opportunities and residency outside Lebanon with a monthly salary of 1080 euros on several Lebanese websites dedicated to offering employment and job placement for young people.
Additionally, the application "Facetune 2," available on "Play Store" and "App Store," which was developed by an Israeli company in 2013, has also come under suspicion. It has been revealed that upon downloading the application, it requests permission to access data and photos stored on the phone, raising concerns about having a vulnerability aimed at furthering Israeli espionage objectives.
Therefore, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces warns citizens against downloading and using the "Facetune 2" application and following the "Amine Amine" account on Facebook. They also urge the public to refrain from following unreliable accounts and websites and downloading suspicious applications, particularly those offering overseas job opportunities with attractive salaries, due to the risk of these reaching Israeli intelligence and being exploited to recruit individuals as agents for its benefit.
