Netanyahu's office mentioned, "The Egyptian president extended his sincere condolences regarding the incident that took place at the Egyptian border. Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked the Egyptian president for this, and for his commitment to conduct a comprehensive and joint investigation."
The statement added: "The two leaders expressed their commitment to continue strengthening peace and security cooperation, which is considered a vital value for both countries."
