Israeli Northern Command Chief, Major General Ori Gordini, announced that "the 188th Brigade has begun intensive drills to enhance readiness on the northern border with Lebanon." He added, "After four months, we are not in a position to reduce the intensity of combat on the northern border. Dozens of our aircraft are active in the skies over southern Lebanon, and when necessary, this will shift to hundreds."
