Reports indicated that while a Palestinian individual was passing through a Lebanese army checkpoint at the Raya area in Tripoli, a search of his vehicle revealed a military pistol, which was then seized. Furthermore, it was reported that the individual entered the camp, brought his gear and weapon, and opened fire on the checkpoint, to which the military responded in kind, resulting in him being shot before fleeing back into the camp.
