The U.S. Secret Service stated that a car crashed into the outer gate of the White House complex in Washington before 6 PM Eastern Time yesterday, Monday. Anthony Guglielmi, the agency's communications director, mentioned that authorities detained the driver, who is being investigated regarding "the reason and manner" of the incident. The White House has not yet responded to a request for comment on the incident. A man from Delaware was charged last month with driving under the influence after accidentally crashing his car into the motorcade of President Joe Biden.
