Attack on Bus in Mali Leaves 3 Dead

B2Gold reported yesterday that three of its workers have died from injuries sustained in an attack on a convoy in Mali. The Canadian mining company stated that a bus transporting B2Gold workers from the Fekola mine to Bamako was attacked approximately 75 kilometers west of Bamako. They added that mining and processing activities at the Fekola mine were unaffected by the incident, and they are working with the Malian government to gather more details about the attack. Initial reports indicate that several other workers on the bus were injured and were all transported to a local hospital.
