The Egyptian Cabinet approved today, Wednesday, a 15% reduction in the investment plan of the state budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024. In a statement, it indicated that "it was decided to reduce the funding from the public treasury in the investment plan for the fiscal year 2023-2024 by 15% of the targeted allocations for the entities within... the state budget." The Cabinet also stated that "no new projects will be initiated in this fiscal year; however, priority will be given to projects that are 70% complete or more."
