Members of the Algerian parliament called on President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today, Monday, to run for a second presidential term, according to some deputies. Tebboune, for his part, told parliament members, "God willing, He will give me enough health," without officially announcing his candidacy for the presidential elections scheduled for the end of 2024. Tebboune was elected in December 2019 for a five-year term and may run for a second and final term, according to the Algerian constitution.
