Title: U.S. Defense Secretary: We Will Address Ukraine's Needs

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin indicated that the "Ukrainian Defense Contact Group," which includes around 50 member countries coordinating military support for Ukraine, will work to provide resources for some of Ukraine's most critical needs in the near term, including its urgent requirement for more artillery, ammunition, and air defense missiles. During a virtual session on Ukraine, which has been facing shortages of ammunition and artillery in its nearly two-year war with Russia, Austin stated, "I am in good health, and my cancer diagnosis remains excellent." Austin is still recovering from complications related to surgery he underwent in December to treat prostate cancer.
