World Health Organization: The Fate of Hundreds of Patients in Al-Aqsa Hospital in Gaza Remains Unknown

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that the organization is unaware of the fate of hundreds of patients and healthcare workers at Al-Aqsa Hospital in Gaza. Ghebreyesus stated in a statement reported by "Novosti": "The WHO is receiving alarming reports about escalating fighting and ongoing evacuation orders near Al-Aqsa Hospital. More than 600 patients and most healthcare workers have been forced to leave, and their whereabouts are still unknown." He noted that a delegation from the WHO and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs visited Al-Aqsa Hospital and witnessed a large number of injured individuals being transported for urgent medical care. He said: "After three months of war, it is unimaginable not to ensure healthcare. The bloodbath in Gaza must stop. There are no hospitals operating at full capacity in northern Gaza, where another WHO mission was canceled today due to risks and the lack of necessary permits, and in other parts of Gaza, only a few healthcare facilities are operational."
