Saudi Aramco to Become Main Sponsor of FIFA

The British newspaper The Times reported on Wednesday that the Saudi oil giant Aramco will become the main sponsor of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The newspaper added, "Aramco, the most profitable company in the world, will become one of FIFA's partners in a contractual relationship expected to last until 2034, when Saudi Arabia is the sole bidder to host the World Cup." The newspaper further stated that "industry experts estimate the value of the deal could reach up to $100 million annually," making Aramco the largest sponsor of FIFA.
