Earthquake of 5.5 Magnitude Hits Kashmir

The German Research Center for Geosciences announced that a 5.5 magnitude earthquake shook the northwestern region of Kashmir in Pakistan today, Monday. The center added that the earthquake struck at a depth of ten kilometers. A Reuters journalist reported that residents felt tremors 152 kilometers north of Srinagar in the Indian-administered part of Kashmir. There have been no reports of damage from the earthquake so far.
