French President Emmanuel Macron announced the organization of a "Humanitarian Conference" on November 9 in Paris, stating that "the fight against terrorism does not justify sacrificing civilians," as Israeli ground operations and bombings continue in Gaza. During a visit to Brittany, he explained that "this humanitarian conference will be held within the framework of the Paris Peace Forum, and we are calling for a humanitarian ceasefire." The Paris Peace Forum is scheduled for November 10 and 11, with parallel events on November 8 and 9, gathering representatives from countries, international organizations, companies, and non-governmental organizations on the theme of "building together in a world of competition." The French president emphasized that "the fight against terrorism does not mean attacking civilian populations indiscriminately," urging once again to "avoid any escalation" in the Middle East. Macron also addressed the bombing that targeted the French Institute in Gaza, for which France has requested clarifications from Israel, stating, "We are organizing the evacuation of our citizens and anyone contributing to the work of the French Institute and its beneficiaries from Gaza." On another note, Emmanuel Macron refused to comment on the speech of Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, who blamed the United States for the ongoing war in Gaza, according to AFP.
