Al-Qusiffy: August 4th is the Most Ominous Day in Modern Lebanese History

The head of the Lebanese Press Editors' Syndicate, Joseph Al-Qusiffy, stated on the third anniversary of the Beirut port explosion that "August 4, 2020, is the most ominous and sorrowful day in modern Lebanese history, and it will not be erased from the memories of the Lebanese no matter how much time passes, due to its seriousness and monstrosity, and the consequences that defy all logic and familiarity. The truth, all the truth, is what gives justice to the martyrs in their graves, and to the disabled who carry the mark of the tragedy in their bodies, and their grieving hearts and shattered memories."

Al-Qusiffy recalled the innocent victim-martyrs who fell as a result of the Hiroshima-like explosion that destroyed the port, which is the main economic artery of the country. He also remembered the wounded and the disabled, who are both martyrs and living witnesses to the crime of the century, as well as the immense devastation that affected most neighborhoods and streets of the capital.
