The head of the Arab Tawheed Party, Wiam Wahhab, stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin "protected moderation in our region when he helped Syria in the war against terrorism and restored Russia to the international map after Yeltsin turned it into a marginal state, and now he is restoring some balance to the international game." He added, "Everyone who has a vote in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and the Arab homeland should vote for Putin and for a strong Russia."
