A state of chaos ensued in the Albanian parliament when a member from the opposition Democratic Party brought a smoke bomb and set papers ablaze during a parliamentary session on Monday. The Albanian parliamentarian's actions were a protest against what he described as the government's attempts to silence the opposition. A similar scene occurred days earlier in Mexico when protesters stormed a Mexican state parliament and released a smoke bomb to disrupt the session.
