Arrest Made for Possession of Counterfeit Currency

The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency announced today, Thursday, the arrest of a suspect in possession of counterfeit money in the province of Najaf. According to a statement from the agency, "units from the Intelligence Agency (Organized Crime Directorate) managed to arrest a suspect in possession of counterfeit currency (Iraqi currency) in Najaf province."

The statement added that "after questioning, the suspect confessed that the money in his possession was obtained from a printer inside his home that he used for this purpose. Legal approvals were immediately obtained, and the house was raided, leading to the seizure of the printer." It was mentioned that "his statements were recorded initially and judicially as confessions, and he was referred to judicial authorities to receive his just punishment."
