Shooting in Houston Leaves One Dead and Four Injured

One person was killed and four others injured in a shooting that occurred during a fight outside a nightclub in Houston, Texas, according to local police. Megan Howard, Assistant Chief of the Houston Police, stated during a press conference that "after the exchange of gunfire, a man tried to flee to the service road where he collapsed from his injuries." Howard reported that the man, a young male in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene. Five young men fled the shooting site in a truck that appeared to have been stolen. Howard added that four men with gunshot injuries were transported to the hospital, three of them with non-life-threatening injuries, while the other suffered serious injuries. Officials believe the nightclub was hosting an event on Saturday night and are working to determine whether those involved in the shooting attended the event.
