Russian Attacks in Eastern Ukraine Result in 2 Deaths and 6 Injuries

Ukrainian officials reported on Tuesday that two people were killed and six injured due to rocket attacks and shelling overnight in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions of eastern Ukraine. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko stated via Telegram that missiles struck a hospital in the town of Slavyansk and a coal mine in Donetsk. He added, "Two hospital buildings were damaged and six civilians were injured. There may be casualties under the rubble, and search operations are ongoing." He also mentioned that "four buildings, 19 vehicles, and a power line were damaged. 39 miners were trapped underground. So far, all miners have been brought to the surface." Russian forces, which invaded Ukraine, have occupied most of Donetsk and have stated their intention to seize the entire region.
