Hamas Leader Osama Hamdan: We Will Release Prisoners if Israel Releases Our Prisoners

Hamas leader Osama Hamdan criticized the world's silence regarding the massacre committed yesterday in a building belonging to the United Nations, noting that the Palestinian people, through their steadfastness and struggle, will thwart Israel's plans to establish buffer zones. Hamdan praised the Maghazi operation, stating that a single shell caused a significant number of deaths. He said, "The occupation's plans to create a security belt on the borders of the Gaza Strip are a crime and a blatant assault on our land."

He continued, "An agreement on a comprehensive prisoner exchange deal will only happen if the aggression against our people ceases. Should the International Court of Justice issue a decision to halt hostilities, the movement will comply with that, provided the occupation does the same. Hamas commits to releasing all prisoners once the International Court of Justice issues its ruling."

Hamdan added, "We will release our prisoners if Israel releases all of ours, and assistance must be allowed into Gaza following the devastation caused by the war." He called for intensifying lawsuits against the Israeli entity around the world to expose its violations. Hamdan confirmed that Netanyahu's attacks on Arab countries, most recently Qatar, reflect political bankruptcy.
