Turkey Decides to Exempt Saudis from Entry Visa

Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, noted on Friday that "Turkey has recently decided to exempt Saudis from the entry visa, which will contribute to an increase in the number of tourists." Ersoy mentioned, "500,000 Saudi tourists visited Turkey in 2022, and the number rose to 800,000 tourists during the past year 2023." He added, "In the current year (2024), we hope to welcome one million Saudi tourists." Additionally, the Turkish and Saudi sides signed a cooperation protocol in the field of tourism. The Turkish-Saudi Investment and Business Forum commenced earlier on Friday in Istanbul with broad participation from both countries.
