Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari announced that the Israel Defense Forces discovered an operational command center and combat equipment, along with technological gear, in the MRI imaging building of Shifa Hospital. He confirmed that soldiers remain active in the Shifa complex while executing a tactical plan. Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adraee commented, "What does Hamas hide inside the MRI department of Shifa Hospital? Follow the statement from public spokesperson Brigadier General Daniel Hagari."
Adraee explained, citing Hagari: "The 'Shaldag' commando unit and other special units under the leadership of Division 36 continue their operations meticulously around Shifa Hospital, conducting searches for Hamas infrastructure." He added, "Upon entering the hospital grounds, the fighters encountered several terrorists and neutralized them. Later, during the search operations inside one of the hospital departments, the fighters found a room containing special technological tools, combat equipment, and military gear used by Hamas."
Additionally, he stated, "In another department, an operational command center and technological gear belonging to Hamas were discovered, indicating that the organization is using the hospital for terrorist purposes." He concluded, "The Israel Defense Forces continue to operate in the vicinity of the hospital based on available intelligence, aiming to prevent harm to medical personnel and other civilians who have sought refuge in the hospital."
