The Danish company "Maersk" announced today, Wednesday, that it has "set schedules for the passage of dozens of container ships through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea in the coming weeks, after having suspended its routes in the region earlier this month due to the risk of attacks." The company added, "The schedule may change based on specific emergency plans that may be formulated in the coming days." The giant container shipping company stated on December 24 that it is "preparing to return to the Red Sea," attributing this to the launch of a U.S.-led military operation aimed at protecting ships from attacks by Houthi forces allied with Iran in Yemen.
