The famous Turkish chef Burak Ozdimer has filed a lawsuit against his father, accusing him of fraud and exploiting his name. Burak's crisis with his father began after the devastating earthquake in Turkey last February, when the chef attempted to assist the victims but faced obstacles due to his father's interference, leading him to sever ties with him.
Burak turned to the courts after recently learning that his father had sold the rights to exploit his name to others who opened a restaurant in Istanbul unrelated to his original establishment. The court has scheduled the first session for the case in September.
The renowned chef confirmed that he was defrauded and stated that he only owns one branch of his restaurant in Istanbul, which he is planning to open soon. He warned against supporting the fraudsters who have stolen his name and image at the other restaurant.
Burak Ozdimer has started selling his luxury cars to raise the necessary funds for his new restaurant designs, which he plans to open in September, coinciding with the Turkish judiciary's consideration of his case against his father and the fraud allegations.
