Netherlands Banned from Delivering F-35 Spare Parts to Israel

The Dutch government indicated today, Monday, that it "will appeal to the Supreme Court of the country against a ruling that prohibits the export of spare parts for F-35 fighter jets to Israel." A Dutch appellate court ruled earlier today to ban exports within seven days due to concerns that the aircraft parts could be used to commit violations of international law during Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip. The government stated, "The F-35 jets are essential for Israel to protect itself from threats in the region, such as those from Iran, Yemen, Syria, and Lebanon, for example."
