Abo Faour Files Complaint Against Those Involved in Contaminated Fertilizers

Member of the "Democratic Gathering" bloc, MP Wael Abo Faour, filed a complaint before the Court of Cassation against those involved in the issue of contaminated agricultural fertilizers. He mentioned the names of fictitious companies, the individuals involved, and a sample of the medications used. Abo Faour called on all farmers "to refrain from using these contaminated agricultural fertilizers," urging for "serious action on this matter." He praised the efficiency and speed of the Information Branch, describing it as a competent and vigilant agency, and expressed his hope that the Minister of Agriculture would expedite actions to control and withdraw these products from the Lebanese market. He stated: "We will submit a similar complaint to Helena Iskandar, the head of the Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Justice," noting that the Attorney General requested him to refrain from naming those involved to give security forces time to raid and apprehend them, assuring that no one is immune in this case. In response to a question, Abo Faour answered: "No one carries out such actions without political cover, as there is complete consensus behind them in most regions and political directions. The Information Branch will be responsible for the investigations, and the battle is open. When the state decides to act, it can take the appropriate measures."
