Casualties occurred in an attack carried out by armed individuals in eastern the Democratic Republic of Congo, with reports indicating that five people were killed inside a church. The assailants are believed to be linked to ISIS. The attack took place in Bayeti, near the town of Oicha, in the Beni region. Oicha's mayor, Nicolas Kikuku, stated that eight bodies of civilians killed by the Alliance of Democratic Forces were transferred to the town's hospital morgue. He added, "Among them are five Christians who were killed while attending mass in Bayeti."
