WFP: The Risk of Famine in Areas of Gaza Remains

The World Food Programme stated on Tuesday that very little food aid has crossed from the southern Gaza Strip to the north since the beginning of the conflict, and the risk of famine in areas of the Palestinian enclave remains. Abeer Atifah, a spokesperson for the World Food Programme in the Middle East, said, "It's difficult to reach the places we need to in Gaza, especially in northern Gaza." She added, "Very small amounts of aid have crossed from the southern part of the Gaza Strip. I believe the risk of pockets of famine in Gaza remains largely."
