The meteorological authority announced the continuation of the heatwave and the rise in temperatures across the board, reaching 40 degrees Celsius in Egypt, starting tomorrow, Sunday, July 23, until the 26th of this month. The meteorological authority expected that temperatures would continue to rise until the end of next week throughout the country, noting that most countries worldwide, especially in the Northern Hemisphere, are experiencing a significant increase in temperatures, which are record highs due to several combined factors. The meteorological authority mentioned that the most important of these factors is the increase in greenhouse gas emissions, which lead to further climate changes, in addition to the El Niño phenomenon and the heat dome that has caused the rise in surface temperatures.
In Saudi Arabia, temperatures are expected to approach 50 degrees, with the meteorological authority in the Kingdom announcing today, Saturday, the rise in temperatures to 50 degrees in some areas, with expectations of continued hot weather until the end of the current week. Experts predict that temperatures will range between 46 and 50 degrees Celsius.
The meteorological authority warned against direct exposure to sunlight during this period to prevent burns and advised drinking plenty of water and natural juices, as well as wearing light-colored clothing and a hat to protect the head from sunlight.
