Iran Cancels Entry Visas for Citizens of 28 Countries, Including Arab Nations

The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced the unilateral cancellation of entry visas at airports for citizens of 28 countries, including Arab nations. An Iranian official stated today, Wednesday, that the ministry has informed the relevant authorities about the executive order of the cabinet's decision regarding the cancellation of unilateral visas. He added, "Accordingly, citizens of these 28 countries traveling to Iran for tourism do not need a visa to enter Iran."

The official noted that "Indian citizens can enter Iran through air crossings without needing a visa, but they must obtain a visa for entry via land borders." The 28 countries are: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tunisia, Tanzania, Mauritania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Seychelles, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, and India.
