Palestinian Health Ministry spokesperson in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qudra, announced today, Sunday, that the second largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, "has gone out of service." Al-Qudra added that only four medical teams are taking care of patients inside Nasser Hospital in the city of Khan Younis in the southern region. These four teams consist of 25 staff members. He pointed out that "the closure of Nasser Hospital is a death sentence for hundreds of thousands of citizens and displaced people in the Khan Younis and Rafah areas because the Nasser Medical Complex is the backbone of health services in southern Gaza."
