Former world number one Rafael Nadal indicated last night that he wishes to compete in the French Open tennis tournament and the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. In a radio interview, Nadal said, "I don't know which tournaments I will participate in, but they... won't be many." When asked about his favorite tournament, Nadal added, "The French Open will be one of my goals... and I would also like to compete in the Summer Olympics, though I cannot confirm that now. But I hope to achieve it, and I believe I will." Nadal, who has missed most of the 2023 season due to injury, withdrew from the Qatar Open on Wednesday, delaying his return to tournaments as he has not fully recovered from a muscle injury sustained in Brisbane last month.
