Minister of Interior: The Jounieh Cable Car Incident is Evidence of Negligence and Lack of Maintenance

Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi, in the caretaker government, pointed out that "what happened with the Jounieh cable car is evidence of negligence and lack of maintenance. The heroes of the army, civil defense, and the Red Cross worked bravely to address the incident." After a tour in Beirut, he announced, "We have put in place a solid plan to accompany New Year's Eve, and we will be stringent in combating and arresting those who fire guns. We are entrusted with the capital, Beirut, and we invite our Arab brothers to visit the city." Mawlawi also stressed, "We are continuing to develop the city, and our project is a project of life, and commercial markets have reopened their doors."
