In a new breach of engagement rules, the Israeli Air Force targeted the area around Jabal Safi located in the western mountains of Lebanon. According to initial reports, powerful explosions shook the south, and their echoes were heard in the city of Sidon and the Khroub region in Mount Lebanon. There were reports of injuries from the airstrike. The strike reportedly targeted the old Health Authority center (in the Jezzine district). Additionally, two interceptor missiles exploded above Marun al-Ras.
Late at night, the warplanes flew at very low altitudes over Beirut, particularly in the southern suburb. The sounds of explosions were heard in the Shouf region shortly after reports of an unidentified object falling between Biseri and the village of Basaba, as well as in the depth of the Tuffah region on the eastern outskirts of the city of Sidon. The correspondent of the National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out an aerial attack around 11:20 PM in the depth of the triangle between Tuffah, Jezzine, and the eastern outskirts of Sidon, targeting forests between the areas of Bsiliah and Snia near Jbaa and Kfar Melki, launching several ground-air missiles, the explosions of which were heard across most of Nabatieh and even the coastal areas of Zahrani and Sidon. Following the airstrikes, a barrage of rockets was fired from southern Lebanon towards the Galilee, estimated to be around 10 rockets.
