NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated on Tuesday that he "sees no imminent military threat from Russia against any of its members," but he is maintaining a deterrent force with the largest exercise being conducted in decades, set to begin later this week. Stoltenberg told reporters in Brussels: "We are doing all this to ensure that we have... the necessary forces to eliminate any space for miscalculation or misunderstanding in Moscow regarding our readiness to defend every inch of NATO territory, and as long as we do that, there will be no attack on NATO territory."
