A meeting for the leaders of the Northern Metn Kataeb Party was held at the headquarters of party leader MP Sami Gemayel in Bikfaya. The meeting included executive committees, several party officials, and members of the Political Bureau, during which the party's positions were explained and some organizational matters were discussed.
Gemayel stated, "Coexistence with illegal weapons is impossible and has proven to be untenable over the years. Therefore, it is necessary to put an end to this reality and address it in unconventional ways. This requires concerted efforts and a unified decision to stop the continuous submission and to form a broad opposition front from all regions, categories, and sects that reject dominance."
The Kataeb leader pointed out that "since 2005, there have been attempts to extend a hand and manage the affairs of the country despite the assassinations and difficulties we faced; however, Hezbollah continued its coup and takeover of the state, preventing reform and accountability while providing protection for the corrupt and criminals."
