Arrests in Brital and Ain al-Dahab

The Army Command – Directorate of Guidance issued the following statement today, Tuesday: "As part of the security measures being taken by the military institution in various regions, two army units, each supporting a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence, arrested 3 individuals as follows: Citizen (J.A.) in the town of Brital – Baalbek, for being wanted for committing crimes: smuggling military weapons for the benefit of terrorist organizations in the outskirts of the town of Arsal, kidnapping citizens, threatening a military personnel with death, stealing vehicles and transporting them to Syria, and smuggling drugs and counterfeit currency to Syria. Citizens (A.M.) and his son (M.M.) in the town of Ain al-Dahab – Akkar for having fired shots. Military weapons, ammunition, and military gear were seized in their possession. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the detainees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
