Iranian Satellite Begins Transmitting Signals to Earth

The Iranian satellite "Thuraya" has transmitted its first signals to Earth after being launched on Saturday via the "Qaim 100" satellite launch vehicle, successfully placing it in an orbit of 750 kilometers, marking a record achievement. On Saturday, the telecommunications satellite belonging to the Iranian Space Research Center, named "Thuraya," was launched into space using the three-stage "Qaim 100" satellite carrier of the aerospace force of the Revolutionary Guard, and it was successfully positioned in orbit at a distance of 750 kilometers from the Earth's surface.

The telecommunications satellite "Thuraya" weighs 47 kilograms, with a global positioning system (GPS) accuracy of 0.5 seconds, making it part of a series of lightweight satellites. This satellite has a lifespan of more than three years with its orbit reaching 750 kilometers, and the GPS location accuracy of the "Thuraya" satellite is 20 meters.
