The polling stations for the Engineers' Syndicate in Beirut opened this morning, Sunday. Two complete lists are competing; the first is supported by "the Kataeb," "the Lebanese Forces," and the Future Movement, while the second list is backed by the Free Patriotic Movement, "Hezbollah," and the Amal Movement. The elections today are to elect five members to the Syndicate Council in both the first and seventh branches before proceeding to the stage of electing the syndicate head on April 15th. It is noteworthy that the Kataeb has nominated Ruba Bou Az for the seventh branch and Kamel al-Hashem for the first branch.
