On Thursday, North Korean state media published photos of leader Kim Jong Un inspecting a major military training base while carrying a rifle, urging his army to intensify its training. Kim appeared wearing a black leather jacket and holding a rifle as he spoke to soldiers, oversaw shooting drills, and inspected weapons. During his visit to the base located in the western region of the country, Kim urged his army to "steadily intensify actual war drills aimed at rapidly improving combat capabilities for full preparedness for war."
