Nineteen people, including at least ten children, died on Saturday when a bus overturned on a bridge in a town north of the capital Managua in Central America, according to a government website. The site, citing officials from the Ministry of Health, reported that the children and boys who lost their lives in the accident were aged between four and 16. It was also stated that around 40 others were injured. Rosario Murillo, the vice president and wife of President Daniel Ortega, told Channel 4 that the bus was carrying about 70 passengers. She added that the incident occurred in Rancho Grande when the driver lost control of the bus while crossing one of the bridges, leading to the overturning and crashing against the side guardrail of the bridge, which prevented it from falling off.
