The flag of Sweden waved at NATO headquarters on Monday, marking the Scandinavian country as the alliance's 32nd member, after two years since the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg watched as two soldiers raised the Swedish flag in front of NATO's main headquarters in Brussels. Stoltenberg welcomed Sweden as the latest member of the alliance.
