The American Cycling Federation announced the death of 17-year-old junior team cyclist Magnus White, who was struck by a car while training in his hometown of Boulder, Colorado. White was focused on his final preparations ahead of traveling to Glasgow, Scotland, to compete in the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships for juniors on August 10. In a statement released yesterday, the American Federation said, "He was a rising star in the cycling sport, and his passion was evident during races and through his friendships with teammates and his community. We will race for Magnus."
