Iraqi artist Kaddour Saïr announced the release of his English song "Hold Your Fire," which he presents as support for the resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli army's ongoing bombardment of the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that choosing to present the song in English aims to reach audiences around the world.
Saïr shared a black and white image of a child on his official Instagram account, writing: "In collaboration with the United Nations Classical Music Association, Kaddour Saïr presents the song Hold Your Fire, which he composed. This initiative aims to use music as a means to support peace and humanitarian efforts."
He added that the English version of the song seeks to reach a global audience and shed light on humanitarian work, with the proceeds being donated to support UN humanitarian activities. It is worth noting that Israel has launched an unprecedented military campaign on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of over 14,100 Palestinians, mostly women and children, in response to a surprise attack by Hamas last month, which killed 1,200 Israelis and resulted in the capture of 240 individuals.
