Heavy Rain Threatens Deep Landslides in Lebanon

Heavy rain and the accumulation of snow have caused deep soil shifts in the southern neighborhood of the town of Al-Aqbah in the Rashaya Valley district, threatening several homes belonging to the Hamid family with collapse due to cracks in the walls and the exposure of foundations as voids formed beneath the buildings. The affected residents, who left their homes, have called on the relevant authorities, particularly Rashaya's governor, Nabil Al-Masri, who hurried to assess the situation and take necessary measures to prevent a real disaster and avert the collapse of the buildings.
