The Russian embassy in Denmark announced in a statement today, Wednesday, that Russia has accused six Danes of participating in the war between Russia and Ukraine as foreign mercenaries. The embassy added that the accusations follow an investigation by Russian authorities into the recruitment and participation of foreign mercenaries, with the Danes facing a prison sentence of up to 15 years according to the criminal code of the Russian Federation. The Russian embassy also mentioned that 20 Danes are on a list for their involvement in the war between Russia and Ukraine, adding that they have contacted the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
