Attack on UNIFIL: What Happened in Tyre?

An altercation occurred in the town of Tyre in southern Lebanon between unknown youths and UNIFIL forces. Reports indicate that the youths obstructed the patrol and attacked it, breaking the windows of the vehicle, which resulted in one of the personnel being injured. Sources noted that the targeted patrol belongs to the Indonesian battalion. The Lebanese Army Intelligence is investigating claims from soldiers of the Indonesian battalion that their patrol was pelted with stones while passing through the town of Tyre towards their base in the town of Adchit al-Qusayr, resulting in some glass breaking in two vehicles and one soldier injuring his head.
